Op-Ed Series: "Taking the Initiative"
This excellent 4-part exploration takes a look at what is terribly wrong with
State Government in New York, and makes some thoughtful suggestions. Every
New Yorker needs to realize that every populous issue like Trail Funding
right up to school funding is held back by the country's certified-worst
Legislative system, and out issue is not being singled out for failure. Alas
this broken system is costing the state's jobs, its citizens' quality of life
and standard of living. (IE, we have the highest combined taxation in the nation.)
